ACCESS County Wide Food Drive

County-wide

The ACCESS Countywide Food Drive is a concentrated effort to collect non-perishable food and non-food items from Grand Rapids area porches for distribution to neighborhood food pantries.  Contributions can also be dropped off at any D&W or Family Fare store.

Suggested Food Drive Shopping List

  • Beans & Rice
  • Canned meats (tuna, chicken, stew, chili, ham)
  • Canned fruits
  • Cereal
  • Coffee
  • Pasta & sauces (no glass)
  • Peanut butter
  • Soap/shampoo
  • Soup
  • Toilet paper
  • Toothpaste/brushes

The County-Wide Food Drive is coordinated by ACCESS (All County Churches Emergency Support System), a network of 350 congregations working together to meet the needs in our community.

Over 5,000 families visit Kent County food pantries each month ~ half of these served are children. Hunger does not discriminate by age, gender or race. It affects the elderly, the homeless, the unemployed and the working poor.
